Biography

Bob Sunday is a member of the OASIS eGov Member Section Steering Committee; his term extends to January 2011.
Bob Sunday is the Senior Architect in the Government of Canada’s IT Services
Branch, Chief Technology Office. He leads the CTO’s evolution of Authentication,
Credential and Identity Services for citizens, businesses and employees. Formerly,
as Director, Secure Channel Architecture, he led the team that architected and
provided oversight for the Government of Canada’s secure infrastructure for e-
Government operations. Bob has extensive experience in all facets of distributed
ICT infrastructure. His breadth of experience includes the management and the
design of individualized Electronic Government Services utilizing a secure public
key infrastructure, the architecture of performance critical transaction systems in
the finance industry, as well as the architecture, patents and implementation of
database protocols for SQL relational databases. He has led numerous Canadian
delegations to international standards meetings, demonstrating an ability to achieve
consensus on technical issues, with multi-disciplinary teams.
